I have always had a passion for the college search & admissions process, starting with poring over college guidebooks and recommending schools for my friends' younger siblings as an undergraduate at Cornell University. I received my master's degree from Columbia University and have worked as a healthcare administrator, a professional writer, and currently serve as the college advisor at the top-rated public high school in Maryland.
> MCPS College & Career Navigator (2020-present):
Attend trainings, workshops, and seminars conducted by college admissions professionals
Visit college campuses to meet with admissions directors, tour academic buildings, and learn about program innovations.
Assist students with all facets of the Common Application completion, including essay, activities, and college-specific supplements
Manage Naviance tasks and reporting for school counselors, teachers, and students
Liaison with CollegeBoard (SAT) and ACT
Provide assistance with FAFSA, MHEC, and scholarship applications
